Organic Quality
Certified organic botanical extracts, tinctures, oil macerates and blended extracts – subject to raw-material availability and specification.
Organic Certification
WestExtract is certified organic in accordance with the EU Organic Regulation. Many tinctures, glycerin-based botanical extracts, oil macerates and blended extracts can also be manufactured in organic quality, subject to raw-material availability and specification.
At WestExtract, organic quality means using certified organic botanical raw materials from controlled organic cultivation and processing them in accordance with the requirements of the EU Organic Regulation.
The availability of organic raw materials depends on the botanical. For this reason, organic production is not equally possible for every raw material and extraction system.
Quality Standard
Irrespective of organic certification, batch traceability, raw-material testing and documented quality control form part of the WestExtract quality standard for both organic and conventional products. Organic certification supplements these quality measures with the specific requirements of the EU Organic Regulation.
Many botanical tinctures and glycerin-based botanical extracts can be offered in organic quality, provided suitable organic raw materials are available and the required specification is technically feasible.
Oil macerates and blended extracts can likewise be assessed for organic production on a project-specific basis. Key factors are raw-material availability, formulation, carrier oil or extraction medium, and the required specification.
